Grant Funding

Many private and corporate foundations provide support through generous grants and endowments. We are very grateful for their contributions that allow Junior Achievement of South Florida to deliver state-of-the art, interactive programs to the youth of our community.

JA BizTown Summer Camp

JA BizTown Summer Camp engages kids in a learn-by-doing, active process, leading up to employment in one of eighteen establishments within JA BizTown. Once employed, they take on the responsibilities of buying or creating products and services that are sold within the JA BizTown market. Campers participate in a number of instructional seminars and speaker presentations on topics such as managing bank accounts, identifying career interests, interviewing for jobs, making healthy choices, and supporting charitable causes. Offering children a weeklong educational summer camp program, providing a safe environment, and a nutritious meal, will only increase the chance for them to succeed!

JA Personal Finance

The JA Personal Finance curriculum will be provided to local at-risk high school students this school year. JA Personal Finance focuses on earning money; spending money wisely through budgeting; saving and investing money; using credit cautiously; and protecting one's personal finances.

JA Finance Park Virtual

JA Finance Park Virtual has three components that tie it all together and make it engaging and relevant to local high school students: in-class curriculum, mentors and a virtual simulation activity. Together, they show the relevancy of staying in school to future earnings; they provide a clear picture of the financial responsibilities of adulthood; and they inspire participants to succeed.
