That commitment significantly increased in 2009 with Junior Achievement of South Florida opened JA World Huizenga Center at the Lillian S. Wells Pavilion. Located on the Broward College North Campus in Coconut Creek, Florida, JA World is the home to two of Junior Achievement of South Florida’s signature programs – JA BizTown and JA Finance Park. These interactive learning environments transform how students are taught entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy.

With over 60,000 square feet of learning areas, rentable meetings rooms, and the Huizenga Catering Kitchen, JA World Huizenga Center at the Lillian S. Wells Pavilion is the largest JA facility in the world. Each year more than 20,000 fifth grade students from Broward and south Palm Beach counties visit the Falcone Family JA BizTown and the identical Dave and Lorraine Thomas JA BizTown, to learn how to run a mini-city filled with storefronts sponsored by local businesses. When 20,000 eighth grade students visit the Patten Family Foundation JA Finance Park each year, they make the connection between their current educational decisions and their future economic success. By using real careers and salaries as a guide, they understand the importance of managing their own personal finances through lessons on budgeting, saving, investing and credit.
