HOW CAN I BEST INTERACT WITH STUDENTS?

The more interactive your booth is, the easier it will be for students to connect and understand your business. The students attending JA Inspire will be prepared with questions to ask about your career and company.

Destination Inspiration Stamp

You will be provided a JA Inspire self-inking stamp to use at your exhibit; students will ask you to stamp their workbook to demonstrate their participation. Students should receive a stamp for interacting at your exhibit not just because they asked! You will stamp their workbooks in the appropriate “Industry Sector” where your exhibit booth is located. The Industry Sectors will be identified on the signage in the room.

Additional Notes

Students will receive a backpack and a pen to take notes. You are welcome to bring merchandise to giveaway.

Below are a few examples of questions
students may ask you:

What skills do I need to do your job?
What is your company best at?
How does your company define and measure success?
What are the rewards of working at your job?
What education beyond high school do I need to have for this job?
What do you enjoy most about your job?
What makes you good at your job?

NOTE: Not all students are as outgoing as others; some may have the best interaction if YOU ask them questions.

What classes are you most interested in at school?
What are your greatest strengths?
Do you like the idea of working on a team/independently?
What are some of your future goals?
What makes you a good candidate for a job?.
